How to pick a font

From the reading I realize that I have a good eye for choosing type. As a graphic designer for the rec center we have 6 different areas, each with their own logos, type, and color. Some of my favorite fonts to use are Bebas, Helvetica, and Crash ( for our extreme climbing wall events). Type works great for me when working in graphic design because I like simplicity and legibility with my design, since most of the work I make deals with disseminating a lot of information in a finite space. The use of different weights and the arrangement of words is something that I’m fond of as well. Often times I will use the same font throughout my graphics and change the weight to add emphasis on headers while leaving the sub-text smaller as it is not as important.
